BENTONIT WATERSTOP
Description:
Bentonite waterstop is a strip of sodium bentonite, which is used to seal cold and operational seams as an alternative to PVC waterstops, or in places where it is not possible to install other types of sealants, such as around pipes, unpredictable operational seams, or it is designed for places where the thickness of concrete is small. Bentonite waterstop is an expanding waterstop that swells to a large dimensional amount (300%) after contact with moisture.
Application:
It is used for sealing executive concrete connections in swimming pools, water tanks, foundations, old to new concrete, sewers, water facilities, subway tunnels, etc.
Advantages:
• It is very easy to install compared to usual PVC waterstops.
• It is very easy to install in vertical seams.
• Like Waterstop, it does not need to be welded or coated.
•A simple worker can easily install 130 meters in one hour.
•- It has excellent water pressure tolerance and is not like PVC waterstops that lose their shape with changes in water pressure.
How to use:
The surface used must be dry and clean. Do not use when there is water or ice. In vertical cases, for installation, keep it inside the seam for about 15 seconds with finger pressure so that it sticks to the surface. Remove the silicone sticker from it before use.
Dosage:
It depends on the length of work.
Packing:
Waterstop bentonite is supplied in ten meter rolls with dimensions of twenty mm x 10 mm.
Inventory:
It can be stored away from direct sunlight and at a temperature of 5 to 45 degrees Celsius for up to 12 months. Protect against humidity, rain and high pressure. Failure to observe the correct storage method will damage the product or its packaging.
Safety:
As with all chemical products, caution is necessary during storage and consumption. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, skin and food. In case of secretion in the eyes and skin, wash it quickly with water. In case of sudden ingestion, consult a doctor.
