SPECIAL POLYMER MODIFIED CONCRETE REPAIR MORTAR

DESCRIPTION

DEZOSIVE 1020 is a ready-mix and non-shrink cement base dry powder, provides smooth level surfaces with highly consistent repair mortar for special purpose concrete and masonry repairs. Due to adhesive materials in it, it makes an excellent adhesion to most common substrate, also provides waterproofing properties.

It meets the requirements of the following standards: EN 1504-3

FIELD OF APPLICATION

  • Repairing of cracks and porous surfaces
  • Provides smooth level surfaces
  • Underlayment for floors and walls before placement of new covering materials
  • Filling pores and holes
  • Can be used for surfaces that are in direct contact with water
  • Suitable for hydraulic structures

ADVANTAGES

  • Excellent adhesion to most common substrates
  • Non shrinkage
  • Excellent mechanical strength
  • High early strength
  • Provides maximum protection against freeze and thaw cycles
  • Waterproofing capability and impermeability
  • No destructive effect on the steel
  • Available in wide range of colors
  • Easy apply

DOSAGE

The optimum dosage of

DEZOSIVE 1020 to meet specific requirement depending on porosity and rough substrate, the normal dosage range is from 1.5 to 2 kg/m2/mm thickness of layer.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Surfaces should be clean sound and free from oil, grease, laitance and loose particles. Metal surfaces should also be clean and free of rust, oil, grease and contaminants.

The concrete should be presaturated for preferably 6 hours with water before application.

MIXING

DEZOSIVE 1020 is simply mixed with water to yield a stiff easily workable compound with shrinkage compensating properties.

The quantity of water depends on the desired consistency but as a guide, we recommended, the entire contents of the bag should added to the pre-measured (4.5-5.5 liters approximately) water while mixing.

Mix with a paddle mixer or trowel to ensure a homogenous lump free material is achieved. Do not try to remix the product after losing workability by the addition of more water.

APPLICATION

  1. Remove damaged concrete and prepare exposed steel reinforcement.
  2. Thoroughly clean repair area using high pressure water jet to remove all loose debris and contamination.

Replace damaged concrete using E.M.SUPER REPAIR, build up in layers if necessary. Apply

  1. DEZOSIVE 1020 with a trowel or spatula. Press hard by hand. Thicker repairs may be achieved by working in layers.

CURING

Keep repaired areas damp, with spraying water at least 24 hours.
