PP polypropylene fibers

PP polypropylene fibers

This type of fiber is used as an additive to strengthen and reinforce concrete and cement and plaster mixtures. The use of this type of fiber increases the bending, tensile, shear and abrasion resistance. When mixed with concrete, polypropylene fibers do not cause sedimentation and increase the weight of concrete, and it destroys the alkaline environment of concrete. This type of fiber with two cuts 12 and 18 mm for concrete use and with 6 mm longitudinal cut for plaster and thin mortars.

Strengthening the bending and tensile strength of concrete against cracking

Description:

This type of fiber is used as an additive to strengthen and reinforce concrete and cement and plaster mixtures. The use of this type of fiber increases the bending, tensile, shear and abrasion resistance. When mixed with concrete, polypropylene fibers do not cause sedimentation and increase the weight of concrete, and it destroys the alkaline environment of concrete. This type of fiber with two cuts 12 and 18 mm for concrete use and with 6 mm longitudinal cut for plaster and thin mortars.

• Reducing cracking and preventing hairline cracks

• Increased impact resistance

• Fire resistance

•Abrasion resistance

• Use in cement blocks, cement pipes

• Composite roofs, columns and walls

• Precast concrete parts

• Reduced permeability against water and corrosive substances

• Thin cement mortars

•Floors of sidewalks and streets, floors of industrial sheds and tanks, tunnels and bridges, water channels and sewage networks.

• Production of cement sheds

Applications of polypropylene fibers:

• The use of polypropylene fibers produces malleable concrete.

• The use of polypropylene fibers produces concrete with high impact and abrasion resistance

• Production of fireproof concrete using polypropylene fibers.

• Polypropylene fibers are suitable for use in ready concrete and production of prefabricated parts.

• In addition to being used in concrete and cement, polypropylene fibers are also used in gypsum and prefabricated gypsum panels.

• Using polypropylene fibers in the production of cement sheets (Iranit)

• The use of polypropylene fibers in the construction of wall coverings (Romalin)

Consumption amount and method of using polypropylene fibers:

Polypropylene fibers can be added to concrete at any time. Usually, polypropylene fibers are first mixed with aggregates and then water is added to it. You can mix the polypropylene fibers with the water of the mixing plan and then add this water to the dry mortar, in which case you should continue stirring for 3 to 4 minutes to achieve a uniform and homogeneous mixture.

If used in ready-made concrete, polypropylene fibers can be gradually poured into the mixer and stirring at a high speed should continue until you are sure of the complete distribution of polypropylene fibers inside the concrete.

Note: Note that polypropylene fibers are hydrophobic and the water absorption percentage of polypropylene fibers is zero, so you should never add additional water to increase the fluidity of concrete.

Consumption of polypropylene fibers:

• The average consumption of polypropylene fibers varies from 0.6 to 3 kg per cubic meter according to the intended performance.

• The average consumption of polypropylene fibers (for example, slabs) is about one kilogram per cubic meter.

• More polypropylene fibers should be used in prefabricated parts using the injection grout system to reach the desired goal (desired bending strength).

Packaging:

PP polypropylene fibers are supplied in 20 kg bags.

Storage:

Store in a dry environment away from direct sunlight.

Shelf life:

It can be used for up to 24 months in a cool covered environment, away from moisture and in the original packaging.

Safety:

Polypropylene fibers are a harmless material. It does not harm the skin under normal conditions. However, as a chemical compound, protective gloves and glasses should be used to avoid contact with the skin and eyes, or wash with water after direct contact with the skin or eyes.

Technical services:

The technical department of Rayehe Beton Sabz Company (technical and specialized concrete clinic of Iran) is ready to cooperate and provide services for the correct use of its materials.
